about

The first tune - The Hills Of Argyll - of this track has been penned by G. McIntyre, in memory of his time as a POW in Germany.
Must I present the second one? No of course, as the famous “Auld Lang Syne” is a worldwide hit! But what's perhaps less known is that the melody itself is an old Scottish dance (Strathspey) and the origins of lyrics are lost in the past even if R. Burns - the famous Scottish poet - has added some verses at the original ones.
So let's drink a cup of kindness!

lyrics

2nd tune (Auld Lang Syne):

Should auld acquintance be forgot
And never brought to mind?

We’ll drink a cup of kindness yet
For the sake of auld lang syne

(R. Burns & trad.)
